About the event

Christine Stewart, Senior Architect at Smith Scott Mullan, will guide delegates through the Granton Waterfront Phase 1 development from the Granton Gas Holder to the Macmillan Hub reflecting on the journey taken with the local community to deliver a high quality housing-led development with placemaking at its core.

 

Once at the Macmillan Hub, Kate Wimpress, Director of North Edinburgh Arts (NEA),will deliver a presentation to delegates on the important role of this community-owned space within the Muirhouse regeneration area, and the collaborative nature of the project with the City of Edinburgh Council and the local community to create a transformative space that will deliver long-term impact and positive change.

 

Following the presentations, delegates will have an opportunity to network over refreshments at NEA  and to take a short tour of the venue itself.
